Humanoid Robots Fail to Impress at CES 2026 The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026, held in Las Vegas, was expected to showcase the latest advancements in technology, including humanoid robots designed to assist with household chores. However, the event was marred by the poor performance of these robots, which failed to — up to their promises (Kastrenakes, 2026). According to a report by Gizmodo, the humanoid robots on display at CES 2026 were “embarrassingly bad” at performing tasks, with many of them falling down, spinning uncontrollably, or breaking entirely on their own (Kastrenakes, 2026). The robots, which were designed to replace human servants, were instead more likely to cause problems than solve them.

One of the robots on display was the Onero H1, a humanoid robot developed by SwitchBot. The H1 was designed to perform tasks such as feeding the dishwasher and brewing coffee, but it was not fully functioning during the show. Instead, it simply spun back and forth like a confused toddler (Kastrenakes, 2026). Another robot on display was the CLOiD, developed by LG.

Humans are desperate to put the robots to work . The only problem is, the robots don’t “work” to any degree. These humanoid bots are interesting.
