Morocco Favored To Win 2025 Africa Cup Of Nations On Home Soil

The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations is set to kick off this weekend, with host nation Morocco facing off against Comoros in the opening fixture. According to predictions from a supercomputer, conducted by BookmakersCameroun. com and sourced from GiveMeSport, the Atlas Lions have a strong chance of triumphing on home soil.
The supercomputer, which uses a probability model to estimate every AFCON fixture based on team strength and betting odds, has simulated the remaining matches 10,000 times to construct the group stages and knockout phase. The results suggest that Morocco, Egypt, Algeria, and Senegal will emerge as group winners, with relative ease.
However, some unexpected outcomes are predicted, including Uganda finishing ahead of Nigeria in Group C with three wins from their three matches. Zimbabwe, Tunisia, and Tanzania are projected to drop out at the earliest stage, while Benin and Botswana are predicted to crash out with one point apiece. DR Congo, struggling to secure a spot at the 2026 World Cup, will be without injured goal-scorer Yoane Wissa, but are set to pick up six points from their Group D encounters.
Sudan and Burkina Faso are also predicted to secure passage into the Last 16 with four and six points, respectively.
