Space Coast Launches Reach Milestone With 102nd Rocket Launch Of 2025

The Space Coast’s remarkable streak of rocket launches in 2025 continued unabated as the calendar flipped to December. Early Monday, a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, carrying 29 Starlink satellites, soared into the sky from Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Pad 39-A at 2:44 a. m. This launch marked the first of at least five planned launches on the Space Coast over the next two weeks, solidifying the region’s status as a hub of space activity.

The Falcon 9’s first-stage booster, which had previously launched three times, made a precise recovery landing on the droneship Just Read the Instructions, stationed in the Atlantic. This milestone marked the 102nd launch from either Kennedy Space Center or Cape Canaveral Space Force Station this year, with SpaceX accounting for a staggering 95 of those launches.

The Space Coast is on track to close out the year with nearly 110 launches, a remarkable achievement that underscores the region’s growing importance in the space industry.
