SpaceX Achieves Third Successful Launch from Florida’s Space Coast in 2026 In a remarkable display of efficiency and precision, SpaceX has successfully launched its third mission of the year from Florida’s Space Coast. On Monday afternoon, a Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station’s Space Launch Complex 40 at 4:08 p. m. Eastern time, carrying the Starlink 6-97 mission with 29 Starlink satellites into orbit.

This launch marked the 25th flight of the first-stage booster, which demonstrated its reliability and reusability by making a recovery landing downrange on the droneship Just Read the Instructions stationed in the Atlantic. This achievement underscores SpaceX’s commitment to advancing the capabilities of its launch vehicles and reducing the costs associated with accessing space.

The Starlink 6-97 mission is part of SpaceX’s ongoing efforts to deploy a constellation of satellites designed to provide global internet connectivity. With this launch, SpaceX has now completed three Starlink missions from Space Coast so far this year, all of which have been launched from SLC-40. In the coming days, SpaceX is preparing for the early return of Crew-11 from the International Space Station.
