SpaceX Successfully Launches Starlink 6-99 Mission From Kennedy Space Center

On a Wednesday morning, December 17th, at 8:42 a. m., SpaceX successfully launched the Starlink 6-99 mission from Pad 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. This mission marked another significant milestone for SpaceX, as they continue to expand their Starlink satellite constellation. The Falcon 9 rocket, carrying the Starlink satellites, traveled southeast after leaving the launch pad, potentially providing a spectacular morning show for those south of the Cape. Notably, this launch did not produce a sonic boom in Brevard, as the booster was targeted to land on the Just Read the Instructions drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean. The Falcon 9 first-stage booster successfully landed aboard the drone ship, completing its sixth mission.

For those who missed the — launch, SpaceX’s launch webcast, hosted on X, is now available for viewing. Information for this article was obtained from Florida Today.
